I don't have a lot to say about Open Water. It comes too awful close to being great to barely make good, but that's exactly what it is. It's a movie that should have been an incredibly taut one hour movie. Cut out three-quarters of the set-up material and get into the meat of the movie, which is where it actually works. I could go into more detail but it is one of those, you should definitely see for youself things, so I won't spoil more than that.

Also watched series four of Coupling. It's impossible not to watch this with some disappointment about Jeff being gone. Luckily, the writing is as good as ever. Oliver, the new guy, takes a while to develop an identity of his own, but works pretty well once he does. The first episode, using the tried and true "Coupling" technique of telling a story from three different perspectives, but doesn't quite work as well as it ought to. The other five episodes come together a lot better than that, though.
