Rick Nelson

I must recommend Rick Nelson: Rock's Past and Future Prince by Jeremy Richey, a wonderful profile and tribute to one of the greatest voices and underappreciated talents in rock and roll. I occasionally go off on similar rants, but I'm quite sure none of mine have been anything close to as good as this.

Wow,
Thank you so much Neil for your kind words and for the link to my article on Rick. I can't tell you how much I appreciate hearing how Rick and his music has affected other people.
Thanks again for this and for your nice comments over at my blog, this was a really nice thing to do.

My pleasure.

As I said, I'm a big fan, since I was a kid and caught "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet" in syndication.

Rick Nelson is such an easy person to get into, I'm consistently surprised their isn't a larger active fan base. His hits are consistently excellent and even most of his lesser hits are familiar (and often better), and as you discuss in your post, there's a much richer vein of varied and wonderful material as you become more interested.
