New Green Arrow costume

So, there I am, reading New TV Green Arrow Costume Revealed by Dave Golder.

The costume? It's ok.

41-year-old Neil would probably prefer something a little more Boxing Glove Arrow, but I'd certainly still be down with a Mike Grell-styled series. I somehow picture this being more post-The Dark Knight "darker and harder-edged", which makes me roll my eyes.

But in fairness, I can try to keep my optimism that Grell and not Christopher Nolan is the godfather of this look. I can go there.

So why, oh, why does David Nutter have to make a direct reference to his involvement in Smallville? Optimism quashed.
